Join award-winning storyteller and teaching artist, J’miah Nabawi, for this unique program features stories and folktales from around the world told in the “story-dance-musical drama” manner of Africa and its Diaspora. This “action storytelling” employs a variety of hand-held musical instruments, dance, and an array of colorful textiles with impromptu audience participation. Mr. Nabawi’s animated storytelling style includes a variety of character voices, body movement, handclapping, drumming, and song. No matter the age or where you are from, come ready to enjoy, come ready to play!
